You will fall in love with this Grenache with its notes of orange blossom, rose petal, sandalwood and a hint of vanilla  The palate is full of candied orange zest, Bing cherry and a touch of cola. The finish is pretty and delicate and lingers on the palate. It will go perfectly with a pork tenderloin or on its own, with the bottle chilled ever so slightly.

Wine Profile
Tasting Notes
I love this Grenache! This vintage has notes of orange blossom, rose petal, sandalwood and a hint of vanilla on the nose. The palate is full of candied orange zest, Bing cherry and a touch of cola. The finish is pretty and delicate and lingers for quite some time on the palate. Our Grenache will go perfectly with a pork tenderloin, yet so pretty and light that it can be had on its own, with the bottle chilled ever so slightly. Enjoy!
Vineyard Notes
The 2018 vintage in our little slice of Dry Creek Valley was just idyllic. After a moderately wet winter, we had a beautiful spring with a great fruit set and a long and very temperate growing season. Our Grenache was picked at the end of September, which was similar to other vintages. Although the crop across the board was large, it did not impact flavors at all, as this Grenache is beautiful, nuanced, and delicate.
Winemaker Notes
The Morningsong Vineyard Grenache was harvested first thing in the morning by hand. The grapes were sorted both in the vineyard and in the winery before being destemmed and left whole berry and put into a one-ton bin. A saignée was done to concentrate the flavors in the must. The grapes were cold soaked for 3 days to extract the maximum amount of flavor, then inoculated and fermented on the skins for 9 days. After being gently pressed off the skins, the wine was moved to used oak barrels where it completed malolactic fermentation. This wine was kept sur lie and stirred every other week until just before bottling. This Grenache was bottled unfined and unfiltered, giving it delicacy and retaining the beautiful aromatics.
Food Pairing Notes
Our Grenache will go perfectly with a pork tenderloin yet so pretty and light that it can be had on its own, with the bottle chilled ever so slightly. Enjoy!
