Sonoma has a way of feeling like its own little world—where nearly everything you eat and drink is grown right here. That sense of connection to the land is also what inspires our work at Amista Vineyards, where sparkling wine and sustainability go hand in hand. As journalist Shauna Farnell described after her recent visit, “Sonoma tends to operate much like its own planet…as pretty much everything you eat and drink here is grown off of the land within the county.”

She also stopped by Amista and captured what makes our vineyards so special. “Wander through the vineyards of Amista, Dry Creek Valley’s only producer of sparkling wine, and arrive at the actual Dry Creek. Amista has resting ponds for spawning salmon along their upstream journeys, and cover crops keep the soil healthy and foster microbial activity,” Farnell wrote.

We’re thrilled she noticed the connection between our sparkling wines and the vibrant ecosystem that surrounds them. For us, sustainability isn’t just a goal—it’s part of who we are and how we care for the land that gives us so much.
