Our Vineyards

Taste the Place

Our Estate “Morningsong Vineyards”

Sustainability at Amista is more than a practice—it’s a way of life. We’ve been farming organically for nearly a decade and were proud to achieve CCOF Organic Certification in 2024. Every grape in our estate-grown wines is nurtured without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, allowing the purity of the fruit—and the vitality of the land—to shine through.

Our care for the land goes far beyond how we farm. We’re actively working to help restore Dry Creek as a thriving habitat for Coho salmon and Steelhead trout, and we’re deeply committed to preserving the natural beauty of Dry Creek Valley for generations to come.

All our irrigation and our tasting room are powered by solar energy, reducing our footprint and keeping us grounded in sustainable practices every step of the way.

For us, sustainability means respecting the land, supporting our team, and crafting wines that reflect the place we’re proud to call home.

Amista Rhône Varietals

We have six acres of Grenache, five acres of Syrah, two acres of Mourvèdre and 1/3 acre of Rousanne. We love Rhônes and use them to make both still and sparkling wines from each varietal as well as blends.

Amista Chardonnay

We have seven acres of Chardonnay on the front of our property.  In addition to our un-oaked Chardonnay, we use these grapes for our Amista Sparkling Blanc de Blanc and Fusión, a sparkling blend.

Our Commitment to the Earth: Nurturing Land, Water & Life

At Amista, our passion for wine extends deep into the soil and waters of Dry Creek Valley. We believe that caring for our land is essential for crafting joyful wines and preserving the natural beauty that surrounds us. It’s a journey of continuous discovery and dedication!

Restoring Dry Creek’s Sparkle

We are proud to be one of the first in Dry Creek Valley to volunteer in a vital project to restore the incredible beauty of Dry Creek. This effort, in partnership with the Sonoma County Water Agency, began in 2013 to recreate a vibrant habitat for endangered Steelhead trout and Coho salmon. The creek is returning to its sparkling best, providing a crucial resting place for these magnificent fish.

Our Certified Organic Vineyards: A Deeper Root in Sustainability

Our commitment to the land runs deep! Our Morningsong Vineyards became CCOF Certified Organic in 2024, a significant milestone that reflects our dedication to farming without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers. This ensures healthier soil, purer grapes, and a thriving ecosystem from the ground up. It’s a natural evolution of our sustainability journey, which began when our vineyards were first Certified Sustainable by the California Sustainable Winegrowing Alliance in 2018. For us, organic farming is more than a practice—it’s a heartfelt belief in honoring nature and sharing its bounty.
